\u201cpotentially responsive\u201d documents about gifts received by first son\u00a0Hunter Biden\u00a0and his uncle\u00a0James Biden\u00a0from contacts in China, Russia and Ukraine, according to a new report Monday.\u00a0\u200b<br \/>\nKevin Evans sued the Justice Department in March after he said the agency failed to comply with his\u00a0Freedom of Information Act\u00a0request for records about the overseas business relationships of Joe Biden\u2019s son and brother, the\u2002Daily Mail\u00a0reported.<br \/>\nEvans said he sought documents \u201cpertaining to any relationship, communication, gift(s), and\/or remuneration in any form\u200b\u201d from China, Russia or Ukraine.\u200b<br \/>\nHe said lawyers for the federal government admitted in court to having at least 400 pages of \u201cpotentially responsive\u201d documents but are now saying they can \u201cneither confirm nor deny\u201d whether the records exist.\u00a0\u200b<br \/>\nKevin Evans claims the Justice Department is trying to conceal records about Hunter Biden that he sought though the Freedom of Information Act.<br \/>\nNBC Newswire\/NBCUniversal via Ge<br \/>\n\u201cThey eventually produced about 60 pages of documents, but they\u2019re all letters from senators and congressmen asking about Hunter,\u00a0and letters from DOJ back,\u201d Evans told the Daily Mail.<br \/>\n\u201cThen towards the end of last year they said, \u2018Well we have these 400 pages of potentially responsive documents, we need to review them,&#8217;\u201d Evans said the lawyers told him, a claim he said the government repeated again in court.<br \/>\nAfter a few months, Evans said the government came back with the \u201cneither confirm nor deny\u201d response.<br \/>\nEvans said he initially filed an FOIA request in November 2020 after reading about Hunter Biden\u2019s foreign business dealings in China and Ukraine, connections The Post\u00a0broke wide open that October.\u00a0\u200b<br \/>\nThe Post\u2019s expose\u2002on the first son\u2019s business relationships was based on emails and messages found on a laptop Hunter Biden abandoned at a computer repair shop in Wilmington, Del., in April 2019.\u00a0\u200b<br \/>\nEvans said he believes the government will do what it takes to keep the information under wraps.<\/p>\n<p><a
