The agency has become openly partisan and serves political ends, whistleblowers have said<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many US state and local law enforcement agencies are refusing to share vital information with the Federal Bureau of Investigation due to concerns that it has become partisan and politicized, according to a whistleblower report submitted to Congress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 230-page report was compiled by an alliance of retired and active-duty agents and analysts, who spoke to more than 30 \u201cindependent, highly credible\u201d sources across the US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey are not only reluctant to work with the FBI but reportedly have decided to no longer share actionable, substantive information on criminal and other intelligence-related activity\u201d with the Bureau, because they believe it \u201chas been operating as a partisan federal agency motivated by a political agenda\u201d in recent years, the report\u2019s authors said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report\u2019s existence was first reported on Wednesday in the New York Post. The document itself was sent to the House Judiciary and House Oversight committees and posted online<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group described a \u201ccrisis of confidence\u201d in FBI-led task forces and a \u201cdisturbing loss of trust\u201d in the Bureau as a whole, even as Director Christopher Wray testified to Congress about a \u201ccomplex threat environment\u201d that is unprecedented in his career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most sources pointed to the FBI\u2019s response to the January 6, 2021 riot at the US Capitol and the August 2022 raid on former President Donald Trump\u2019s Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the sources described the FBI\u2019s behavior as \u201cthat of a Third World country\u201d and argued it \u201cshould be dismantled and its personnel prosecuted and given long prison sentences.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pressure to assist with \u201cJ6\u201d cases has led to a belief that the Bureau is driven by a \u201cpartisan, political agenda.\u201d One source said they could not understand why the FBI was not going after any other groups with the same fervor. Another said that local officers feared they could be targeted \u201cbecause of their love for the US\u201d and perceived as \u201cdomestic terrorists\u201d based on how they vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newer FBI agents \u201cdo not bother to conceal their distaste\u201d for traditional political or religious views and openly identify themselves as \u201cwoke or liberal,\u201d the head of a multi-agency task force said. Hired on the basis of \u201cdiversity, equity and inclusion\u201d (DEI) guidelines, they are \u201ccompletely worthless\u201d and \u201cthe worst batch of people,\u201d the whistleblowers said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FBI academy at Quantico, Virginia at which new agents are trained \u201cpromotes a cult of narcissism\u201d and arrogant superiority, while being intolerably politicized, the report claimed. Meanwhile, the Bureau\u2019s Security Division has been abusing the security clearance process to purge conservative-leaning agents from its ranks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The whistleblowers urged Congress to force the resignation of Wray as \u201can extreme measure of last resort\u201d and the only way to restore the Bureau\u2019s reputation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
