Steven Woodrow had no \u201csympathy\u201d for former president&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\">Donald Trump<\/a>&nbsp;after he was shot in the ear in an apparent&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/assassination\">assassination<\/a>&nbsp;attempt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u201cThe last thing America needed was sympathy for the devil but here we are,\u201d Woodrow posted on X after the shooting that killed one and left two others in critical condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Minutes after the&nbsp;<em>Washington Examiner<\/em>&nbsp;reached out to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/leg.colorado.gov\/legislators\/steven-woodrow\">Woodrow<\/a>&nbsp;for clarification on the post, he apparently deleted his account on X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Woodrow claimed that Trump supporters would use the shooting \u201cas a license to commit violence themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The Colorado Democrat additionally condemned the act of political violence and demanded justice against the attempted assassin in posts on X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u201cI condemn this act of violence on the strongest.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/state\/3081471\/democratic-lawmaker-chides-sympathy-for-the-devil-trump-shot\/\">washingtonexaminer<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Democratic&nbsp;Colorado&nbsp;state Rep.
