Some of Donald Trump<\/u><\/a>\u2019s most loyal Congressional allies immediately blamed Joe Biden<\/u><\/a> for Saturday\u2019s assassination bid<\/u><\/a> against the former president\u2014with one claiming: \u201cBiden sent the orders.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a series of posts on social media, loyalists including Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Rep. Mike Collins of Georgia and Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert sought to link the sniper\u2019s attack to language used by Biden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blackburn posted on X, formerly Twitter, \u201cJust days ago, Biden said, \u2018It\u2019s time to put Trump in a bullseye.\u2019 Today, there was an assassination attempt against President Trump.\u201d That was a reference to a report in Politico that Biden<\/u><\/a> told a private call on Monday: \u201cI have one job, and that\u2019s to beat Donald Trump. I\u2019m absolutely certain I\u2019m the best person to be able to do that. So, we\u2019re done talking about the debate, it\u2019s time to put Trump in a bullseye.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was not alone. On X, Collins wrote, \u201cJoe Biden sent the orders.\u201d Boebert posted<\/u><\/a>, \u201c\u2018It\u2019s time to put Trump in a bullseye.\u2019 – Joe Biden. Shame on him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And on Trump\u2019s Truth Social, Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene posted<\/u><\/a>, \u201cDemocrats wanted this to happen. They\u2019ve wanted Trump gone for years and they\u2019re prepared to do anything to make that happen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She went on to attack a group of Congressional Democrats who had sponsored the DISGRACED Former Protectees<\/u><\/a> Bill, a piece of proposed legislation that sought to terminate Secret Service protection for those convicted of a felony. Trump has been convicted of 34 felony counts of false business records in New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhy would they want that? You know the reason,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two of Trump\u2019s reported short list for vice-presidential nominees engaged in similar rhetoric. Ohio Republican senator\u2002J.D. Vance posted on X<\/u><\/a>,\u201cThe central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs. That rhetoric led directly to President Trump\u2019s attempted assassination.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And South Carolina Senator Tim Scott accused \u201cthe radical Left and corporate media\u201d<\/u><\/a> of aiding and abetting the assassination attempt. \u201cLet\u2019s be clear: This was an assassination attempt aided and abetted by the radical Left and corporate media incessantly calling Trump a threat to democracy, fascists, or worse,\u201d he posted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other GOP vice presidential shortlisters, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, and Nikki Haley, Trump\u2019s defeated Republican rival, opted to issue statements of support and prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other members of Trump\u2019s wider world of supporters and media boosters were also quick to blame the left, among them Sebastian Gorka, who was a White House aide before becoming a broadcaster. He posted on X<\/u><\/a>, \u201cChuck Schumer threatened Trump\u2019s SCOTUS appointees. Maxine Waters told her supporters that they should surround and intimidate his cabinet members. Kamala Harris raised money to bail out BLM rioters. 5 days ago Biden said put President Trump in the \u2018bullseye.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
