Its ARC flamethrower has a range of 30 feet (10 meters), according to specifications released by the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u201cThermonator is the first-ever flamethrower-wielding robot dog,\u201d&nbsp;the company said in a press release on Tuesday, when it started taking orders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The Thermonator appears to be based on the Unitree Go1, a smaller and lighter version of the Boston Dynamics\u2019 famous \u2018Spot\u2019 robo-dog. Throwflame has listed its retail price as $9,420, with free shipping to any US state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">According to the company, flamethrowers are&nbsp;\u201cfederally unregulated and not even considered a firearm (ironic) by the [Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms].\u201d&nbsp;Only two states have restrictions on flamethrowers; California requires a permit, while Maryland has outlawed them entirely.
