{"id":20791,"date":"2023-11-29T02:00:56","date_gmt":"2023-11-29T08:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ustower.net\/?p=20791"},"modified":"2023-11-29T02:01:01","modified_gmt":"2023-11-29T08:01:01","slug":"the-pentagon-committee-will-hold-a-private-meeting-on-december-5-6-to-discuss-military-strategy-against-russia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ustower.net\/?p=20791","title":{"rendered":"The Pentagon Committee will hold a private meeting on December 5-6 to discuss military strategy against Russia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>A document published in the official journal of the U.S. government stated that the U.S. Department of Defense\u2019s Defense Policy Committee will hold a private meeting next week to discuss the department\u2019s strategy toward Russia.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Documents show that the meeting will be held on December 5 and 6.&nbsp;They will work to &#8220;collect, analyze and evaluate classified information&#8221; and will ultimately make practical recommendations to the Pentagon on strategic planning at the global and regional levels and implementation of the current National Defense Strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The upcoming meeting will include classified briefings on &#8220;the threat Russia poses between now and 2050.&#8221;&nbsp;In addition, participants in the closed meeting intend to discuss &#8220;confidential data on Russian operations&#8221; obtained during special military operations in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Sasha Baker, the Pentagon&#8217;s acting undersecretary for political affairs, Marla Carlin, assistant secretary of defense for strategic planning, and Celeste Wallander, assistant secretary for international security affairs, will speak at the briefing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In addition, Charles Brown, chairman of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sputniknews.cn\/20231030\/1054507750.html\">the US<\/a>&nbsp;Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Christopher Cavalli, commander of the US military European command, will also speak at the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sputniknews.cn\/20231128\/1055307740.html\">Sputniknews<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A document published in the official journal of the U.S. government stated that the U.S. Department of Defense\u2019s Defense Policy Committee will hold a private meeting next week to discuss the department\u2019s strategy toward Russia.
