The United States is \u201cmore vulnerable from inside terror attacks than at any time in its history,\u201d former President Donald Trump said on Tuesday following a memo from the San Diego Field Office Intelligence Division of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) warning that members of terrorist groups \u2014 namely Hamas, Hezbollah, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) \u2014 could be encountered at the porous southern border.
\u201cWith the millions of people that Crooked Joe Biden has allowed into the United States through his ridiculous Open Borders Policy, mostly young men, and large numbers of TERRORISTS, the U.S. is more vulnerable from inside terror attacks than at any time in its history, BY FAR!\u201d Trump exclaimed on Truth Social, ending with, \u201cMAGA.\u201d
Trump\u2019s proclamation comes weeks after the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas attacked Israel, murdering at least 1,400 individuals. On October 20, the San Diego Field Office Intelligence Division of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) warned that \u201cindividuals inspired by, or reacting to, the current Israel-Hamas conflict may attempt to travel to or from the area of hostilities in the Middle East via circuitous transit across the Southwest border.\u201d
\u201cForeign fighters motivated by ideology or mercenary soldiers of fortune may attempt to obfuscate travel to or from the US to or from countries in the Middle East through Mexico,\u201d the memo reads in part, listing off possible indicators including military age males, military gear, insignias, associations to Israel, the Palestinian territories, \u201cregional affiliations,\u201d and those with an \u201cundetermined return plan.\u201d
As Breitbart News\u2002reported, the U.S. is experiencing a surge in illegal alien crossers who are on the \u201cTerrorist Watch List\u201d under Biden\u2019s leadership:
Over the last year, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) \u201chas encountered 149 illegal aliens at the nation\u2019s northern and southern borders who were revealed to be listed on the federal government\u2019s Terrorist Watch List,\u201d as Breitbart News detailed.
The vast majority of the border crossers on the Terrorist Watch List, 146, were encountered at the southern border. That reflects a 7,350 percent increase in such encounters when compared to Fiscal Year 2017.
A report from House Homeland Security Committee, chaired by Rep. Mark Green (R-TN), further details this phenomenon, noting that Border Patrol \u201capprehended just 14 individuals whose names were on the [Terrorist Watch List], with most of them attempting to enter through the southwest border\u201d between Fiscal Year 2017 and Fiscal Year 2020.
Republican Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), meanwhile, is demanding answers on the number of \u201cspecial interest aliens\u201d released into the United States, writing to President Joe Biden\u2019s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on October 18. Such individuals are described as \u201ca non-U.S. person who, based on an analysis of travel patterns, potentially poses a national security risk to the United States or its interests.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
