President Joe Biden is being slammed online for joking about selling state secrets as critics question his mental status and whether he was confessing to a crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I sold a lot of state secrets and a lot of very important things that we shared,” Biden said at the start of a meeting<\/a> with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week. “Now, all kidding aside \u2014 look, we\u2019re teaming up to design and develop new technologies.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Republican National Committee<\/a> on Monday tweeted a video of Biden’s remarks, cutting the video before the president clarified he was “kidding.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Even though additional information was added to the RNC’s post by Twitter users, the video still generated online outrage from conservatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n “Joe Biden\u2019s brain is going and he\u2019s literally admitting his crimes out loud. Impeach Biden! It\u2019s unreal and so insulting to America,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene<\/a>, R-Ga., tweeted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Well, honest or in a fog of confusion? Where are you, Democrats? Speak up because we never hear from you on this topic,” former Rep. Jason Chaffetz<\/a>, R-Utah, posted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n “They impeached Trump over a phone call,” Rep. Byron Donalds<\/a>, R-Fla., commented on the video, referring to how the House impeached then-President Donald Trump in 2019 in part due to comments he made on a phone call<\/a> with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Biden made the joke as congressional Republicans are raising the alarm over allegations<\/a> that Biden and his family were involved in a multi-million-dollar bribery scheme involving a Ukrainian businessman who reportedly tried to influence U.S. policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
