Former President Donald Trump said Monday on FNC\u2019s \u201cSpecial Report\u201d that Fox News\u2019 ratings were declining during an interview with host Bret Baier.
Baier said, \u201cYou are facing a number of potential charges in other cases. You said all of which are political witch hunts.\u201d
Trump said, \u201cOf course, of course.\u201d
Baier said, \u201cWhat do you say to the voter who really liked many of your policies, but they can\u2019t handle the scandals or the controversies or the name-calling and the vitriol? What do you say to that voter who\u2019s worried that all leads to a general election loss?\u201d
Trump said, \u201cBased on the polls, I\u2019m leading Biden by a lot. Based on the polls, I\u2019m leading all of the Republicans by a lot, by 40 points and more. Right now, I have the best polls I\u2019ve ever had. People see this stuff for what it is. It\u2019s a political witch hunt.\u201d
Baier said, \u201cMore independent voters watch Fox News than any other TV source.\u201d
Trump said, \u201cA lot less than used to watch it.\u201d
Baier said, \u201cThey do watch.\u201d
Trump shot back, \u201cA lot less, Bret.\u201d
